What is in this collection

Our largest collection at 374 products, 307 in stock, built around full matching sofa sets rather than single pieces. Configurations run from 2+2 up to 3+2+1, mechanisms from fixed to electric, and ranges include Dalmore, Annecy, Cidliano, Chesterfield, Roma, Conway, Oakland and Tanya. On a hub this size the filters do more work than copy can. For the parent category, see our sofas collection.

What luxury actually means here

A word about the collection name. Luxury is a judgement rather than a specification: no measurable attribute makes a sofa luxury, and we will not imply one. What we can tell you is what is verifiably here. Several ranges are genuine hide, one is suede, most items are full matching suites, and the larger configurations dominate. Judge it on that. For confirmed hide, see our genuine leather sofas collection.

Five upholstery types, kept distinct

We do not blur these. Genuine leather is a natural hide that ages to a patina, used only where a title states it. Leather is a sofa whose title names no grade. Leather Aire is leather-look upholstery: not hide, and not faux. Suede is its own material, not a fabric. Fabric covers the woven ranges. For the wider category, see our leather sofas collection.

Suede and fabric are not the same thing

Worth separating, because it changes how you look after the sofa. The Oakland range is titled suede, a napped surface: it wants a soft brush rather than a damp cloth, and water kept away. Fabric ranges such as Conway and Tanya are woven, and want vacuuming and prompt blotting. Folding the two into one care routine will damage one of them. For woven upholstery, see our fabric sofas collection.

Contemporary and traditional both appear

Not everything here is a modern shape. The Chesterfield Antique range sits in this grid and a deep-buttoned Chesterfield is a traditional design. Antique there describes the style, not the age: these are new pieces in an antique-style finish, not period furniture. For strictly contemporary lines, filter by range and skip Chesterfield. For matching suites across the store, see our sofa sets collection.

Fixed, manual recliner or electric recliner

A fixed sofa has no mechanism and no cable to plan around. A manual recliner tilts back using a side lever. An electric recliner runs from a motor and settles anywhere between upright and fully back. In a set, pieces usually share a mechanism, so a 3+2 electric set means both sofas recline under power. See our recliner sofas collection.

Planning power and clearance

An electric sofa plugs into an ordinary mains socket, so the question is where the cable runs, and on a three-piece set it comes up three times. A recliner also needs clearance behind and in front: a suite that fits closed can be unusable once every piece is reclined. Plan the sockets before delivery. For powered models, see our electric recliner sofas collection.

Sizes, sets and corner options

In a set the numbers are the seats in each piece, so a 3+2+1 is a three-seater, a two-seater and an armchair. Buying a set means every piece matches; buying separately works too, provided you stay within one range. A corner sofa seats more in the same floor area but commits more of the room, so measure both wall runs and check the orientation first. Our sofa buying guide covers choosing a size.

Colours across the collection

Black, brown, tan, red, grey and beige all appear. Black and grey are the most forgiving of marks; brown and tan are the warm options. Red appears on the Chesterfield range and is a deliberate traditional choice rather than a neutral. Availability differs by range, so use the colour filter. To compare grey, see our grey sofas collection.

Measuring before you order

On a set, measure every piece and mark the whole arrangement on your floor with tape rather than each sofa alone. Live with the tape for a day: a suite reads differently in a room than in a photograph. Add recline clearance at both ends, then measure the route in against packaged dimensions. Our sofa measuring guide sets out the method.

Care by upholstery type

Care follows the material, which is why we label it per product. Genuine leather wants dusting, a damp cloth and occasional conditioning. Leather Aire wipes clean. Suede wants a soft brush and no water. Fabric wants vacuuming and blotting. Keep any of them out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. Full guidance is in our care guide.

Stock and sold-out items

307 of the 374 are in stock. On a collection this size that is healthy, but individual configurations sell out and some are down to one or two units. Set a back-in-stock alert on any sold-out product and you will be emailed if it returns. We will not promise a date, because restocking is a buying decision. For end-of-line pieces, see our outlet collection.

Delivery

Delivery is free across England and Wales and usually takes 7–10 working days. Our own two-person team carries each piece into your chosen ground-floor room, access permitting. A full suite takes longer to bring in than a single sofa, so clear the route beforehand. Removal of your old sofa can be arranged at the same time. Full timescales are on our delivery information page.

Returns, warranty and your rights

Our 14-day change of mind returns policy covers unused items in original condition, counted from delivery. Contact us within those 14 days so a collection can be arranged. Separately, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 cover faulty or misdescribed goods, and are not time-limited. There is no frame warranty advertised on this collection, so please do not assume one. Our FAQ page sets out the steps.

Why buy your sofa from Furniture Instore

On a collection with a name like this one, the useful thing we offer is restraint. We do not claim a sofa is genuine leather unless its title says so, we keep suede separate from fabric, and we say the Chesterfield pieces are traditional rather than modern. Sit on them at our Coventry showroom first. Customers rate us Trustpilot Excellent, 4.8★ from 4,800+ reviews. Call 02476 705 600 for help choosing.

Why you can trust this page: Furniture Instore is a Coventry-based upholstered-furniture specialist. We keep genuine leather, leather, Leather Aire, suede and fabric strictly distinct and apply each label only where the product data supports it, we say when a range here is traditional rather than contemporary, and we attach no quality claim to the word luxury that the product data cannot support.

Frequently asked questions about our luxury sofa range

What is in the luxury sofa collection?
374 products, built around full sofa sets rather than single pieces, in configurations from 2+2 up to 3+2+1. Five upholstery types appear: genuine leather, leather, Leather Aire, suede and fabric. Mechanisms run from fixed to electric recliners, and 307 are in stock.
What makes a sofa luxury on this page?
We would rather show you than assert it. What is here is full matching suites, genuine hide on several ranges, suede on one, and a lot of large configurations. Luxury is a judgement, not a specification, so the sections above set out material, size and mechanism and leave it to you.
Are there sofa beds in this collection?
Not in the sets shown. If you need a sofa bed, ask our team on 02476 705 600 rather than assuming from the collection name, and we will tell you what we currently hold. We would rather correct that than let older wording stand.
What upholstery types are in the range?
Five, and we keep them distinct: genuine leather where a title states it, leather where a title names no grade, Leather Aire which is leather-look rather than hide, suede on the Oakland range, and fabric on ranges such as Conway and Tanya.
What is the difference between genuine leather and Leather Aire?
Genuine leather is a natural hide. It varies in grain and shade between hides and develops a patina with use. Leather Aire is a leather-look upholstery: not genuine leather and not faux leather. It wipes clean and needs no conditioner. Each product page states which you are buying.
Are all of these sofas modern in style?
No. The collection spans contemporary and traditional shapes, including the Chesterfield Antique range, a deep-buttoned classic. Antique there describes the style rather than the age: these are new sofas in an antique-style finish, not period pieces. Filter by range if style matters.
What is the difference between a manual and an electric recliner?
A manual recliner is worked by a side lever, so it has no motor and nothing to plug in. An electric recliner runs from a motor and stops wherever you release the button rather than at fixed notches, but needs a mains socket within reach.
What sizes and configurations are available?
Mostly matching sets: 2+2, 3+2, 3+3, 3+1, 3+1+1 and 3+2+1, plus individual sofas and armchairs. The numbers are the seats in each piece, so a 3+2+1 is a three-seater, a two-seater and an armchair. Use the size filter to narrow the grid first.
What size room do I need, and what should I measure?
Take the width, depth and height of every piece and mark the whole arrangement on your floor with tape. For a recliner, add clearance behind for the backrest and in front for the footrest. Then measure the route in against the packaged dimensions.
How long will a sofa last?
That depends on the frame, the upholstery, the mechanism and how the sofa is used, so we do not put a figure on it, and we do not claim these last longer because the collection is called luxury. Ring us on 02476 705 600 and we will tell you what the manufacturer states.
How do I care for the upholstery?
It depends on the type. Genuine leather wants dusting, a damp cloth and occasional conditioning. Leather Aire wipes clean. Suede needs a soft brush and no water. Fabric wants vacuuming and blotting. Keep any sofa out of direct sunlight and away from radiators.
Is assembly included, or do I need to build the sofa?
There is very little to do. Our two-person team brings each piece into your chosen ground-floor room and fits any feet on site, so a set arrives ready to use. Corner sofas arrive in sections that connect together. No tools are required from you.
What is your returns policy?
We offer a 14-day change of mind returns window, counted from delivery, on items returned unused and in their original condition. Contact us within those 14 days so a collection can be arranged. Your statutory rights sit alongside this and are not limited to that window.
What happens if my sofa arrives damaged?
Ring us on 02476 705 600 as soon as you notice, ideally within 48 hours, and keep the packaging if you have it. Photographs help us resolve it quickly. Damaged and faulty goods are covered by your statutory rights, separately from the 14-day window.
Is there a warranty on these sofas?
There is no frame warranty advertised on this collection, so please do not assume one is in place. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 always apply to faulty or misdescribed goods, and you also have our 14-day returns. For what a manufacturer states on a model, ring us.
